Despite the low water the fishing continues to be good in most areas. The smallmouth bass rivers appear to be hardest hit because there is not enough water to float boats, and anglers have to hike from hole to hole. Fishing for largemouth bass, striped bass, crappie, white perch, and blue catfish continues to be good to excellent. However, because of the low water many ramps are closed and boaters must be prepared to encounter unanticipated shallow water throughout most reservoirs.
